Brawl Stars is a free-to-play game.

The Main Concept

Brawl Stars first went global as a free-to-play game in December 2018. Since then, the game has grown into millions and millions of players who enjoy the game on a daily basis. The main concept of Brawl Stars is as a battle royale game with different features in order to win trophies and achieve a higher ranking. Moreover, it’s not just your basic one versus one battle royale game. Although it does feature a solo showdown game mode, the game offers a variety of alternatives to play, not just as one player but as a team with others.

In-Game Purchases

Brawl Stars is a free-to-play mobile game. It is free to download, but you will have the options for in-game purchases. These purchases can help you progress much faster as you upgrade your brawlers. You can also customize your own skins to make your brawler unique. Although some skins can be won by completing challenges, you can buy them as well. You can buy gems, gold and more to bring the game to another level.

Game Modes

The different game modes for Brawl Stars have changed throughout the years. As of right now in 2023, the game has around eight game modes available. These can include Gem Grab, Brawl Ball, Hot Zone and Heist, just to mention a few. You can also participate in Club League and Power League game modes to win exclusive skins and prizes. In reality, the game does have something for everyone to enjoy.

The Brawlers

When the game first started, it only featured around 12 brawlers. Since its global launch back in 2018, the game has grown to over 64 brawlers. Each of these brawlers come with different mechanics. Just as some examples to consider, the Poco brawler has the power to heal its teammates while damaging opponents. Spike is another brawler that resembles a cactus. Because of this reason, Spike throws balls of spiky cacti to damage its opponents. Rest assured that every brawler is fun to play.

The Mechanics

Every brawler has its own unique mechanics. You can continue to exploit their mechanics by using things called gadgets, star powers, supers and gears. As you upgrade your brawler, you’ll also increase the stats for each of these mechanics in the process. Once you reach a Power Level of 7 for the brawler, you will unlock the gadget ability. Power Level 9 will grant you access to Star Powers.

The Game Pass

The game has made it much easier to progress your brawlers in the game. The game pass gives a lot of value for your money. It comes with skins, credits, gems, gold and an exclusive brawler, which you can all earn as you progress throughout the season. The game pass is also convenient because you will have a little over two months to complete the entire pass.
