Brawl Stars is an online battling game where you get to fight against other real people. Known as a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena, or MOBA, type of game, this pits you against many other real players and you can fight to see who is the best. Like other MOBAs, this one features a large selection of characters to choose from.

Main Features

Brawl Stars is a free game that features three-on-three action. You'll be placed in a team with other players where you're tasked with taking out the other team. There are numerous ways to do this. You can go up and punch them, play it safe with long-range attacks or blow up nearby bombs for splash damage. It's a fast-paced game and you'll never know what the enemy will do.

Large Selection of Characters

Brawl Stars features many different characters that you can choose from. Each one is made in a cute style and they have very unique designs and colors. No two characters look alike, which allows you to easily find a character that you really bond with. Not only do the character looks different, but they have different personalities and abilities. You'll find a character that best fits your play style.

On top of their unique styles, you can also collect clothes for your characters to further customize their appearance. Each character has a passive skill that is active the entire match and a super move that can be used after building it up during the match.

While the game is free and so are many of the characters, some must be paid for. A good number of them can be unlocked either through real money or in-game currency. If you prefer the in-game currency route, then it can be a long time before you unlock them. A few characters can only be unlocked with real money. This is common of mobile games, but it's still annoying to have to spend money just for a character.

Single and Double Challenges

The main mode in Brawl Stars is the three-on-three arena but there are other modes as well. You can choose a single-player mode where you complete challenges along with a two-player mode where you and a friend complete challenges together. Aside from getting rewards from the challenges, this allows you to get used to new characters.

Different Battle Modes

There are many online battles you can choose from. Aside from simply beating the other team, many of these modes give you a special objective. Gem Grab is very popular as you race to collect 10 gems and hold onto them as long as possible. You must collect the gems first and then prevent the enemy team from stealing your gems. Bounty is a similar mode where you collect stars, but you get these only by defeating an opponent.

Heist places each team in their own base. You must sneak into the enemy base and steal their treasure while simultaneously defending your own base against them. There's even a sports map called Brawl Ball that's like a combination of football and soccer.
